A Tour of Morfa

Getting started

You can find the most recent binary distribution in the downloads section of the Morfa site http://morfalang.org.

Instructions below apply to version 0.2.0 of Morfa.

Windows (64 bit) binaries

A self-extracting setup file will install Morfa on your drive and add a folder called Morfa-0.2.0 to the Start menu. From there you can choose Command Prompt and verify that the compiler works:

C:\Users\Jane> morfac --version
Morfa 0.2.0
...

Linux (64 bit) binaries

As of version 0.2.0 Linux binaries are distributed as a bzip2-compressed directory morfa-0.2.0 containing all the required executables and libraries. After extracting add the directory to PATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH:

$ tar xf ~/Downloads/morfa-0.2.0.tar.bz2
$ export PATH=~/morfa-0.2.0/:$PATH
$ export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=~/morfa-0.2.0/:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
$ morfac --version
Morfa 0.2.0
...
